Our Phase 2 ESA Services
Desktop Analysis & Investigation Planning
Every Phase 2 assessment starts with thorough planning based on Phase 1 findings, historical site use, and regulatory requirements. Our environmental professionals develop investigation strategies that we can take action on.
Subsoil Salinity Tooling Application
Salt contamination is one of the most common issues on oil and gas sites, particularly from produced water or historic brine spills. Subsoil salinity tooling enables us to help develop Tier 2 site-specific remediation guidelines for chloride and sodium contamination in soil, protecting groundwater and surface water.
Aerial Drone Surveys and Inspections
Our RTK (Real-Time Kinematic) drone services provide high-precision aerial documentation and site mapping as part of Phase 2 assessments. Drone surveys give us a complete picture of site conditions and help identify investigation areas that might be missed from ground-level observation alone.
Electromagnetic (EM) Surveying
EM surveys are one of the most valuable tools for assessing potential soil and groundwater contamination. They detect subsurface anomalies that may indicate buried infrastructure, contaminated soil, or salt-affected areas, guiding where detailed sampling should occur.
Our EM surveying capabilities help us investigate sites more efficiently, reducing unnecessary sampling while ensuring we don't miss contaminated areas.
Direct Push Sampling
Once investigation areas are identified, we need soil and groundwater samples to characterize contamination. Direct push technology allows us to collect samples quickly without the time and expense of conventional drilling. This service decreases the chances of cross-contamination and allows for better sample integrity.
Having direct push capabilities in-house means faster mobilization, better coordination between survey work and sampling, and seamless integration with remediation planning.
We also have traditional auger capabilities to meet any demands.
Comprehensive Reporting
Phase 2 ESA reports document the entire investigation and provide clear conclusions about site conditions. Our reports are designed to meet regulatory requirements while providing you with actionable information about what needs to happen next.
